1 16 oz. package tri-color rotini noodles
2 jars pasta sauce, your choice
1 lb. mild Italian sausage
2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/3 cup parmesan cheese
handful of fresh basil, optional
Brown Italian sausage and drain fat. Add 1 1/2 jars of sauce and fresh basil and stir.
Cook noodles acording to package directions (al dente). Drain.
Mix noodles, meat and sauce in a large bowl.
Lightly spray a 9x13" casserole dish with cooking spray and add 1/2 of mixture to dish.
Top with 1 cup of shredded cheese. Top with remaining mixture and cover with 1 cup shredded cheese and sprinkle with 1/3 cup of grated parmesan cheese.
Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes until cheese melts.
Cover tightly with plastic wrap and freeze for up to 3 months.
Unthaw in refrigerator overnight and bake same as above.
